The Pick, the Sickle and the Shovel
When Gravediggaz first began making noise they produced themselves as a "horrorcore band". They wanted to shock the world and by doing so open peoples' eyes. Foremost the black population of America. Their songs were dark and gloomy. Their music videos trying to reach the dire horror. Just as their name implied.
What first struck me when I picked up the album, "The Pick, the Sickle and the Shovel", was how "light" and "clean" it looked. I was impressed by the layout. The Pick, the Sickle and the Shovel is almost ethereal. Worth listening to as well as looking at.
